We’ve all heard the promise of AI in recruitment: less time spent on manual tasks, more time focused on what really matters — connecting with top candidates and making smarter, faster placements.
But as more firms adopt and scale AI solutions across their recruitment functions, one question looms large: What kind of impact is AI actually having?
Case in point: AMS, a global talent solutions company based in London. With more than 8,500 employees worldwide, AMS has been steadily expanding its use of AI. Thanks to a recent case study conducted in partnership with LinkedIn, we now have new data that reveals what that journey has looked like — and the results it has delivered.
1. Enhancing candidate quality and experience — without losing the human touch
“At AMS, we are always looking at ways we can enhance the candidate experience,” says Hayden Hughes, managing director of sourcing and attraction strategy. “Developing tailored and personalized messaging is no longer an optional ‘add-on’ to our service. Candidates increasingly expect a consumer-grade experience. Our skill lies in blending technology and people to meet those expectations.”
To deliver on those evolving needs, AMS trained its recruiters to use LinkedIn’s AI Search, enabling them to identify strong-fit candidates more quickly and efficiently. Those same team members also adopted LinkedIn’s AI-Assisted Messaging, which analyzes a candidate’s profile — including skills, experience, and activity — to generate personalized InMails in seconds.
This shift allowed AMS to scale personalization efforts without sacrificing quality. The result? Higher candidate engagement, stronger candidate experiences, and better-quality long lists for hiring managers. In fact, AMS achieved an InMail acceptance rate of 42% — nearly double the industry average of 22%.
“The LinkedIn AI–enabled InMail allows our teams to engage with candidates in a personal and relevant way,” Hayden says. “It means we can achieve hyper-personalization at scale, improving engagement and enabling us to attract high-quality candidates for hiring managers.”
2. Rapid upskilling for recruiters, who are able to work more efficiently
The simplicity and intuitive design of LinkedIn’s AI features made adoption seamless across AMS’s sourcing team. Because the tools adapt to user behavior, they quickly became embedded into daily workflows, helping recruiters connect with candidates more strategically and efficiently.
Final thoughts: A look at what’s possible with AI
AMS’s success with LinkedIn’s AI-powered tools offers a compelling glimpse into the future of the recruitment industry. By streamlining workflows, boosting recruiter productivity, and personalizing outreach at scale, these tools are helping AMS recruiters work smarter and deliver even greater value to their clients.
Their journey is a powerful proof point for what’s possible when organizations embrace AI thoughtfully. For staffing firms looking to stay competitive in a fast-evolving landscape, the message is clear: The future of hiring is here — and it’s powered by AI.
